I love this film so much. I love Jared Hess- my type of humor!
When I saw 'Napolean Dynamite' it was like nothing Id ever seen before. It was a new type of comedy, so awkward and so dated. When I was in canada I went to 'rogers'. 'rogers' is a videostore- I had to visit the video store and see what releases were excusve to Canada. That is where I found 'Gentlemen Broncos'.
We watched it that night on the little laptop- oh I loved it. Jennifer coolidge was in it- shes always great.
I love how dated these films feel. How particular the characters are in their descriptions of mundane events. The subtle acting- the bad clothes, the ugly brown colour palette, Benjamins crappy life, Judiths pastel dress designs and the 'epic' soundtrack.

Mabel is neutered
Today Mabel was neutered (spayed). when we left her in the vets I walked away and watched her little face poking out of the carrier. I went to uni and thought about little Mabel having her operation.
When we collected her at 4, she was fine! The vet said she was very sociable and enjoyed her day. She loved the attention.
When we took her home the other cat Toulouse started hissing at her -does he not remember her? does she smell of vets? poor mabel meatball

IDEAS- Thursday 17th
I really like these images as ideas for the blank walls. The first, not so busy but easy for the eye to follow from left to right.
The second- I really like. very busy and comical and with the selective colours (blue and red). And the third one just a watercolour of an English building. I think buildings and stages are quite nice on large walls
I love the illustrator Ronald Searle and would like the finished drawings to look similar to his
This poster for 'singing in the rain' is a lovely composition.
I like the colours and layout and the fact it is musical theatre
more quick sketch- 'My fair lady' ideas
maybe set the scene at the racecourse?
or have the covent garden landscape with Eliza in the left bottom corner.
could be nice on one wall, streetlamp in corner
some well-known musical characters?
I like this idea but dont want it to be cheesy
backstage: a performer peeking out from behind the red drapes
painted lights around edge
some drawings for the animation I am working on
a ballroom scene
walking madam
young lady
This is a watercolour streetscene I did last week- could be quite nice on a feature wall
