The Coven: The Next Supreme?

Ahhh Only 2 more episodes of American Horror Story: Coven are left, and the question everyone is asking 'Who will be the next supreme!??' Ive seen Pro Spalding votes on Facebook but somehow I doubt he will be the supreme. This is a cheesy sign Ive made showing my enthusiasm for the t.v show, any excuse to dress up as a witch and use photoshop

Me in 2014

I needed some new passport photos and jumped at the chance as I seriously enjoy photo-booths. I was unaware that I couldve had 4 different poses in my photos and got 4 identical ones instead. this was disappointing... but it gives me a reason to return to the booth! Me in 2014

Woman in the Forest

WOMAN IN THE FOREST
Dried leaves crunch under heavy foot,
Forest smells lure wanderers in
Honeysuckle, lavender
The woman, oh gatherer
For nighttime brings moonlight and magic begin
This is a photo I took and poem I'd been thinking of for a while

American Horror Story: The Coven

THE COVEN
One of my favourite characters in a t.v series would have to be Fiona Good from ‘American Horror Story: The coven’. Jessica Lange is just amazing as the superior witch Fiona. The whole series is so empowering to women and so wickedly cool. I love the earthy bohemian witchiness of Misty, the treacherously exotic Marie Laveau and the wild wonderful red hair of peculiar Myrtle Snow. The Papa Legba character in the last episode I watched was terrifying but very enjoyable. I’ll be sad when it ends, but will continue using pinterest to fill my fix of magical witchy imagery!
And youre in luck as some of my favourites are below!

New Year

January  2014
January has begun as it should and my new years resolutions (daily squats) have already lost their appeal. I spent midnight New Years on a bus as we journeyed to Shepherds Bush 02 for the pre-historic themed club night. Inflatable dinosaurs hanging from the balconies combined with men in dinosaur costumes dancing/djing on stage helped make us feel very prehistoric and we enjoyed the night dancing, laughing and queuing for the cloakroom. The fact we sang in the New Year on the bus made the whole evening more fun.
I started my READING CHALLENGE on the Goodreads website (which I love) on January 1st. So far I am on my 4th book. This book ‘possession’ is taking me longer to read because of the long poetry sections. I don’t mind reading the poems slowly as I want to appreciate their significances. The book is riveting and combines my interests of poetry, history and fiction.
After seeing  ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ at the cinema, I finally got round to actually reading ‘the Hobbit’. Everyone always says they have read ‘The Hobbit’ and it was something I’d been meaning to do for a while. The film gave me that final push, as I loved it so much and was left so disgruntled when it finished. I wanted more MORE! So I got more by reading the book and felt satisfied with discovering the ending ect. Though the film did have its flaws, (at times the characters felt very computer generated) the whole lord of the rings world is so appealing to me and is the only real fantasy franchise I truly enjoy.
Book 2 was by Elizabeth Wurtzel who is probably my favourite writer. I loved her first book ‘Prozac Nation’, it is one that has never actually left my mind and ‘Bitch: in praise of difficult women’ was very relevant to me when I was writing my dissertation on women and aging so loved that too. This book ‘More, Now, Again’ was just as sharp, desperate and confessional. I love her style and her accounts of despair and self-destruction, I love everything she writes.
